Important News and Updates from Our Air Partners

Dear Travel Agent,

We inform you that, with the new Branded Fares model, SSR requests continue to be requested by Travel Agents when booking.

For Travel Agents with GDS Travelport / SABRE, the usual codes for special services continue to be used, which must be paid at SATA through our direct sales channels.

For Travel Agents with Amadeus GDS, there are new codes that can be used directly in GDS.

Service Regulations
• Changes ⇒ Allowed, provided the original route is kept, except pre-seat;
• Refunds ⇒ Allowed, except pre-seat;
• Time Limit ⇒ No OPW / OPC (Time Limit) lines are generated, except for pre-seat. However, services remain chargeable, and it is advisable to issue the respective EMDs before check-in, except for those that are part of the free baggage allowance, when it is not yet known whether it exceeds it.

AVIH / Sports equipment / Musical instruments
• Included in the passenger's free hold baggage allowance, except in Brand Simple .The special service charge applies when the free allowance is exceeded, either initems or in the maximum permitted weight per item.

PETC
• Always chargeable.

Weapons and Ammunition
• Weapons are always chargeable, regardless of the Brand purchased and the passenger allowance. At this time, payments must be made at SATA;
• AMMO transportation is free of charge either on SP or S4;
• WEAP and AMMO booking procedures remain unchanged.

Important notes:
• For all additional services (e.g., PETC, AVIH, sports equipment, musical instruments, Weapons) booked and confirmed on/before 16JAN23, previous baggage rules apply, regardless of whether they have a ticket issued. New rules/fees apply for allrequests made on/after 17JAN23, even on old bookings. Nevertheless, if the new regulation is the most favorable for the passenger, you may follow it.
• Bookings with Sports Equipment or Musical Instruments in an Interline/Codesharemust be made as usual, i.e., using SSR SPEQ and BULK, respectively;
• For trips with Interline/Code-Share flights, we keep the procedures for excess baggage charges available only at the airport;
• Musical instruments in all GDS, except Amadeus, continue to be requested as BULK. These will be converted by SATA, upon request confirmation, to the new SSRs (SSRMUSS, MUSM, and MUSL) generating the following message “SSR OTHS 1G BULKREQUEST ACCEPTED”;
The new SSRs are only used on flights operated by S4/SP. To find out about the new SSRs and respective entries, check your GDS.
